Experience of the Month: MLB All-Star Game in Denver

What better way to celebrate America this July than by celebrating America’s favorite past time? This month, Jet It is highlighting the MLB All-Star Game in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Maybe you were looking for an excuse to visit one of the nation’s most exciting cities or maybe you’re a massive baseball fan. Whatever the reason, Jet It owners won’t want to miss this showcase of talent.

A Midsummer Classic in the Mile-High City

Also known as the Midsummer Classic, the MLB All-Star game is a contest between all-star players from both the National League and the American League. Rosters are selected by fans, managers, and other players alike, making this a truly unique sporting event. The display of talent, game time atmosphere, and accompanying events make it a one-of-a-kind experience any sports fan will enjoy.

This year, the All-Star Game is on Tuesday, July 13th at Coors Field in Denver, CO. Home of the Colorado Rockies, the stadium is in the heart of downtown Denver making the game a perfect opportunity to see one of the southwest’s premier cities.

Enjoy a Week’s Worth of Fun and Great Food

In the days leading up to the game, the MLB is hosting All-Star Week and the Play Ball Park at the nearby Colorado Convention Center. The events take place July 9th through the 13th (the day of the game) and include giveaways, autograph opportunities, learning how to play from the best in the game, and much more. The first round of the MLB draft is even going to take place live at All-Star Week! With so many attractions and events, this year’s All-Star Week is perfect for families and fans alike. There’s truly something for everyone. The full schedule and list of attractions can be found here.

Once you’ve had your fill of hotdogs, Cracker Jack, and good ol’American fare, we recommend you head to Rioja and enjoy some of Denver’s finest international and Mediterranean offerings. While the menu is largely Mediterranean inspired, chef Jennifer Jasinski’s creations are heavily influenced by local seasonal products, adding a unique southwestern flare to the dishes.

While You’re There, Escape to Breathtaking Boulder

While Denver offers numerous nearby luxury resorts, including the Crawford Hotel, Grand Hyatt, and Ritz Carlton, which is in walking distance of Coors Field, we recommend heading northwest about 30 minutes to Boulder and staying in the St. Julien Hotel and Spa for at least one night. The St. Julien is a luxury spa perfect for families, couples, or business travelers. Rooms are stylish and feature top-end Italian linens and views of either the mountains or downtown Boulder. Book a suite and you will have your own private balcony and separate sitting area. The St. Julien features several on-site attractions including live music, the sophisticated Jill’s Restaurant, and of course, a full spa.
